Restore default autorun settings for the affected drive

If your optical drive stops autorun when your cd or dvd discs are inserted you can
sometimes repair it simply by defaulting the autorun settings
Open My Computer
Select Properties for your drive.
Select Autorun tab and click Reset Defaults.
This will fix your problem if it was caused by a burner program or VMWare. They all
like to disable autorun and auto insert notification.
