Ahh, I have found it! Actually it is not a problem with the operating system per
se, but with the touch pad of the lap top computer. You can only slide the mouse
cursor a limited distance before you run your finger to the edge of the mouse touch
pad. Then you lift your finger, go to the opposite side of the pad and slide it
again, and again, and again.
The computer thinks you did a double click when you lift your finger and replace
it to move the mouse cursor. Try it. Put the cursor on a link and quickly lift
and replace your finger on the touch pad. AUTOmatic DOUBLE CLICK!
Well there's the problem. What to do to shut off the AUTOmatic DOUBLECLICK? I
dunno. I just plugged a trackball into the laptop and the problem stopped when I
stopped using the touch pad. Hope this helps. It's incredible that this problem
has gone on so long with no input!! Johnny
