OK open Device Manager on the menu bar there is a Action and a View option. click
on View. Select "Show Hidden Devices" This will open up more line items below. It
is labeled "NT Apm/Legacy Support" Click on the + sign and you shpuld see "NT Apm/Legacy
Interface Node" Right click on this and you should see Enable, Uninstall, Scan for
hardware changes and properties. Select enable. .....If it is not there check in
the control panel Power Options and the APM tab. Enable advanced power management
support" This will also do the trick. Good Luck
