I desperately need help (don't we all...). I have the "no active mixer devices installed"
problem and the software enumerator is there (twice actually) in Device Manager.
I uninstalled sound drivers and reinstalled SoundMax which was the factory loaded
sound device...but the problem persists. I still have no sound...just bleeps. The
microsoft kernel sound 'things'
such as splitter, wave mixer etc. say that there is another device installed in the
system...
Any Help will be gratefully received.
