A great comercial utility is the Omnixray disk editor.
www.omnixray.com
For NTFS files, you can edit the MFT 'in use' atribute for the file. This will tell
Windoze to delete the file. I had some corrupt files that I could not delete or even
access. With omnixray I could copy the files, or set the attribute to delete.
