I've a similar but stranger problem. When I shutdown sometimes the fan(s) keep running. However the power light does go out. If I press the power button for 4-5 seconds the fans stop. I have made the change to the power setting for my USB mouse but haven't confirmed if this will help. Anyone else have similar problem. I'm not using any of the power settings. AMD Thunderbird 850 Windows XP SP2
