Question about 'Windows Installer Appears Every Time I Start an Application'

i have windows installer problem(win xp proffesional).it always activates when i start certain programs and asks for office2000 cd or diskette(which i dont have)I modifeid the registry (enable windows installer-always option)and it still pops up but this time it starts and stops by itself in a second.can anybody help me solve this problem
