Well it works for icons downloaded from net or otherwise too.
just go to Control Panel/Display/Desktop (tab)/ Customize Desktop (tab)/.........
Now on the small window which is diplaying all existing icons of My computer, My
documents, Recycle bin (full), etc...... here select the icon you want to change
by single-click on it, then press the tab of Change Icon.......
......... on the window that appears now, there is a Browse tab on top........ press
on it and reach Desktop or wherever you have saved the downloaded icons .......
select the new icon which you want for Recycle bin (full)... and then click on
open tab....... you will get the new icon......
click on Ok tab ........ and then apply tab on display window.......
I hope that answers your query......... (this process works for XP, and only the
*.ico files downloaded from net will show on browsing for new icons)
