I had this same problem with my Lexmark X125 for the last month or so. I tried everything
you did (as well as some other suggestions I found on the web), with the same result.
Yesterday I uninstalled the printer software (again), rebooted, uninstalled the Microsoft
KB887742 update, rebooted, reinstalled my printer software, and everything seems
to be working again ... I've been printing for two days now without a problem.
Not sure if this will help anyone, but after the headache I've had with it, I HAD
to pass it along.
