Ok. Here is what I found wrong with my system. I had Adobe Distiller as a printer.
While trying to print to the Lexmark, a print job got hung in the print queue because
"Enable bidirectional support" was not checked in Printer Properties under the Ports
tab for the Lexmark printer. When I uninstalled my Lexmark printer, the hung print
job was transfered to Adobe Distiller! Who th' hell would have thought to look there!
Anyway, I did, I found it, I deleted it from the queue, removed all printers, including
Distiller, re-booted and re-installed my Lexmark and Distiller, re-booted again and
all is fine down here in la-la land.
