Thank you Jim; your use of regedt32.exe (as opposed to regedit.exe) was what allowed
me to take care of my Device Manager issue... however I just assigned read and full
modification rights to the current user, and instantly I had a Device Manager that
actually allowed me to manage devices - no reboot required! Thanks so much to all
who have contributed to this thread!
