Windows XP, Icons are corrupt no longer function Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 11:38 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Gloria (4 messages posted) yesterday when i turned on laptop i noticed that my desktop items are all labeled with the .lnk extension and i cant no longer open them..as well not being able to acces my computer file. I tried downloading the latest sp2 from microsoft website with no success. I also tried creating a new account and transferring files..no success. any other suggestions would be apprecieated..and just so you know the 2 suggestions mentioned above were from microsoft help desk.
