So, I read through everything that everyone mentioned and tried them all without
any luck. I then did a search on removing system tray and found it to be a part
to add to the registry and to activate it by either a 0 or turn it off with a 1.
I entered the registry value and it worked. Here are the instructions.
- Open up the registry (run > regedit)
- browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion
> policies
- Create a new key named "Explorer" without the quotes (right click > New > Key)
- Create a new DWORD Value named "NoTrayItemsDisplay" without the quotes (right
click > New > DWORD Value)
- Modify the NoTrayItemsDisplay and make sure the value is 0 (right click > Modify)
- Reboot and all should be fine.
Good luck
