I, too, recently had to reinstall XP (though the Dell 4700 is only 6 months young)
because I could not get past the login page one day. I hated to do it, but I couldn't
get into the program to do a System Restore.
Now I am experiencing a number of problems, one of which is the non-output of sound.
No system sounds, no sounds when I run Jukebox--nada colada. I of course had to
reinstall via discs everything that was originally factory installed. I have not
changed sound cards or anything. Everything worked fine before this reinstallation
of XP.
I've read a number of posts that mention BIOS. I've been hesitant to get into BIOS
to perhaps adjust settings for fear of messing things up even more.
Anyone have any helpful suggestions? I'd be SO very grateful!
Thanks in advance! :)
