Turning off firewall is not good these days. I'm Behind a Router now on the Main Home Network, and don't use software firewalls on the network anymore, and on a Compuiter I use for Web surfing in the evening not on the Router Network I use just the XP Firewall. Just giving you a Idea of what may cause longer boot times.
