Clicking IS a problem of some kind and usually is a sign of head crashing which also
can explain some of your other symptoms. (any recovery lab will tell you this)
Drives can fail at anytime. If you can remove the drive(s) and install them into
a desktop system, I would recommend running the drive manufacturers diagnostics utility
on them to check for problems/damage. Also possible that your encloseres interface
is bad and if so, may cause drive problems and will damage it. This can also be
a cause of the clicking which WILL damage the drive... Either way, it sounds like
a definate hardware problem that will only get worse until repaired. Good Luck!
