Folks, the same thing happened to me and here's the fix. I'm sure it will work for
most of you. Follow the following steps:
1) Go to Control Panel - Adminsrative tools - Computer Management
2) Double Click on services and applications
3) Double Click on services
4) Double Click on Themes
5) Click "Start"
Go back to your desktop and look for Windows XP Style under the Appearance tab.
It'll be there.
This should fix mostly everybody's problem unless you have somehow deleted the "Luna.theme"
file from your computer. To check, go to C:\windows\Resources\themes. You should
see both a Luna folder and a Luna.theme here. If you don't that is your problem.
Download these, install them under the director above and then look for the Windows
Xp theme again on your desktop. This should do it.
