re: inability to load program

The microsoft article did not specify to have the XP cd in the drive. I put the disk
in, and was able to execute the commands. However, the cd-roms that didn't work before
still don't work. Now they spin very loud and then nothing happens, not even an error
message.
I didn't do a restart after doing the "Expand" command lines
Can you please help?
