The next quick troubleshooting step would be to run the sfc /scannow command, see 
this link at gateway support:
System 
File Checker

After that, the next move is up to you, but it would take about the same amount of 
time to offload whatever you are going to save and then run the Gateway Restore process 
as it would if you were to try to continue to troubleshoot the kernel32.dll error. 
 Speaking of this error, is there any other info displayed with the error?  It might 
help to post that.
