Regarding hanging on wlnotify.dll during Windows XP startup / logon, and slow startup:
on my XPPRO SP2 machine I have been working on an unrelated issue concerning my USB
drivers. I noticed that when I disabled my USB drivers that my machine no longer
took forever to reboot. When enabled, the long boot time returns.
During boot with the USB drivers enabled I noticed that during wlnotify.dll processing
that my external USB drives were being accessed for long periods.
I have 5 external USB drives, and Im about to upgrade to a USB2.0 / Firewire controller
as USB V1.x is a bit too slow for such a large drive field.
