Ven,
The devices you mention -
- Microsoft Audio Splitter
- Microsoft Kernel System Audio Device
- Microsoft Kernel Wave Audio Mixer
- Microsoft WINMM WDM Audio Compatibility Driver
Should I absolutely definately have them or are they dependent on what my sound card
is? (I don't have them or anything that really correspond in under Sound, video and
game controllers (or anywhere else in the device manager). I am showing hidden deivces.
What is do have is:
- Audio Codecs
- Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1773) (WDM) [my sound card - disabled)
- Legacy Video Capture Devices
- Media Control Devices
- Media Control Devices
- MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device
- Standard Game Port
- Video Codecs
All of which seems pretty innoffencive.
Initially I was missing the PnP Software Enumerator - I've reinstalled that and device
manager shows it was working a-ok but device manager still reports that my sound
card drivers are enabled but not started...
