Tim, what's the fix for a failing hard drive - and what on Earth is loose memory?

I've made no secret of the incontestable fact that I'm no expert and now I'm really
confused. I really would like to believe that Hostsman confused my system in some
way and the new Hosts file supplemented with Spybots own additions is a better alternative
which avoids sudden power downs.
