If you want to use task scheduler and the maintenance task requires admin privileges (most maintenance tasks do), then you need to do one of these: Use the "run only if logged on" box in the job's properties, the task will run interactively if you do that Set a password to your account and enter the password into the job too. The task will fail if you change the password. Create another admin account with a password and use it to run the job (and only for task scheduler jobs). IMO this is the best option.
