It should; I'm sharing files with the other networked computer and using the Internet.

Also, something I didn't mention in my original post:
Before I installed the IPX/SPX protocol on both computers, the game had an "IPX not 
available" message when I attempted to start a network game; after I installed IPX/SPX, 
the message went away, but the game still does not connect, and dxdiag still won't 
let me test the IPX connection.
