You can find registry keys refering to wallpaper in:
HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop
there is also a key called backup wallpaper at:
HKCU\software\microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\General
Those are the best areas to check. You may want to do a search of the registry using
the term wallpaper, and see if anything odd comes up.
