i am also haveing problems with connecting my 2 pcs i am looking for a way to connect a win 98 pc to a xp machene. i know that there is an easyer way but that is not my point. i am usin a null modem cable but i cant set it up like a modem for dial up between the two pc. i have just read this post and wonderd what settings the pcs ports are on as i know that there are different settings for different things, as the ECP and EPP that can be changed in the bios
