It's a software problem !

The problem is being caused by a program that has disabled Autoplay Wizard.
As far as the CD / DVD, I would suspect Roxio, Nero, or some other similar CD software
is affecting Autoplay. Try to think of any programs, like these, that you have recently
installed.
If it is a camera not opening with autoplay, I would suspect Real Player 10 as being
the real culprit.
In fact it may be possible that Real Player 10's settings may be affecting the CD/DVD
Autoplay also.
In any case it is definetly a software program that has conflicted with Autoplay.
It's just a matter of finding the program . Try to think of any program installations
or upgrades that you performed around the time of Autoplay not working.
Curious...if you share your computer, do the other users have the same Autoplay problem?
Try logging on as a guest, and check Autoplay.
Is Autoplay only disabled on your desktop?
This will prove that some application you installed is disabling Autoplay. Find it,
but check Real Player 10 first.(Check the link below) It was my problem, and could
be yours.
Hope this helps.
