My reply may be a little late for you,but if you want a safe and reliable registry cleaner,try Lexun Regscrub XP ,it automatically backs up any changes,or you can edit manually (If you know what your doing) and as a list of registry tweaks that you can use if needed. I found this better than JV16 power tools and. Their site is under construction at moment but plenty of places to download it,just google to it.
