No, "fdisk /mbr" does NOT format the drive. That's command rewrites the master boot 
record. If you decide to go the formatting route, I suggest you start a new thread 
for advice. 

I think the aurora removal procedure would be a simpler way to go. That's just me. 
I know it 'looks' overwhelming, but I'd give a try. People have learned a lot in 
the process of cleaning malware off their system, so it wouldn't be in vain.
