XP OPERATING SYSTEM

There was a time when I had no icons on the desktop except the Recycle Bin. With XP I just pin the programs I need to the start menu after turning off the last used programs feature (which would be better as a MOST used programs feature), however the few icons which I now have on the desktop have no visible icon as I use the clear icon, and they just have a short description in all capital letters as I find this to be less cluttered and therefore more elegant.
