Thanks for the quick response. I have already turned of the search for folders ..
i read this in the forum and was very hopful .. but alas .. nothing ... no change
i do not have any printers shared on this machine .. i do connected to shared resources
.. printers and directories. have many connections listed in "my networkplaces"
if this were the problem, i would expect faster login from my office where i am on
a 100mb line .. i dont think this is teh case ... i can check it ..
