That is of course when doing a thumbnail view in Explorer it crashes hard. When the crash happen Microsoft online crash analysis stated that I had the TrojanDownloader:Win32/Delf.FNVirus. I spent months wasting my time with their wrong analysis. It turned out to be the FFDSHOW DirectShow decoding filter. Once I removed it and reinstalled the latest version all problems were solved, and this it my new favorite research and resource site for Windows issues. Thanks to all who help out here.
