Windows XP Desktop Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 6:14 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Lauren B (1 messages posted) My old computer had Win Millenium - just got new one w/XP pro. When downloading executables or other things from the web I would download to the Desktop because it was easy to find and then remember to delete once I installed it. I have downloaded a couple things to my new XP desktop but they don't display on the Desktop. If I do a Search, they are found and are indeed on the desktop. How can I make them apppear as an icon on my desktop?? This is making me crazy.
