SoundBlasterLive will not load into my XPHome

My XP Home system will not load my CD Sound Blaster Live 5.1. I get SBL's flash screen,
but it disappears quickly. I have Tried Add/Remove Programs, direct Autoplay load;
with no luck. Who can tell me what to try, to get Sound Blaster Live to load ? Please
Help !!!
