I've posted on here twice I think, each time the responses helped get a long way
down the line, however have now hit a brick wall that I cant get through.

Basically I was asked to look at a PC that was going really slowly and had a very
tempremental connection.

My first thought was that it would be laden with spyware, malware, adaware etc.
We downloaded spybot and ran that 3 or 4 times to clear it out. We then dowenloaded
noadaware and did the same.

This speeded up the machine from 21mbps to 28mbps

However we can no longer get into IE.

IE crashes as soon as it is started with the 'Internet Exporer has encountered a
problem and must close down' Within this window there is the option to click for
further details....this points towards a problem with iexplore.exe

My first thought would be to download a new version of IE6 with SP2, however we cannot
access IE so downloading is impossible.

We can access Outlook and the connection allows send/receive without a problem

Hope this helps

cheers
