If Notepad is the bad guy, then it will do the same thing using the WINE core files instead of Win32 core files. If it doesn't do the same thing, then my theories about Windows evilness will become real. Also, I will take look inside these .DLLs and .EXEs using a Hex editor and a Resource Editor. Good idea.
