I have a question about What's the difference between Windows 2000 and Windows XP?:

I'm running VisualStudio.net on XP Home and it appears to work fine. Needing the serial class comm features I'm looking at upgrading with the beta VS 2005, but it only talks about 2003 support. Since I don't need 2003 server features for development, can anyone share if there are substantive differences between XP and 2003 that may impact VS 2005 working? Thanks.
