Note: you can find help about the Registry in "Registry tips" (Annoyances.org sidebar).

  • Start Menu, Run, REGEDIT.EXE, click on OK.
  • Open this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CurrentControlSet\control\Session Manager.
  • Doubleclick on the BootExecute value. Delete all the lines except the following: autocheck autochk *
  • Save the value by clicking on Ok. Exit Registry Editor and reboot.
It can also be applied on each ControlSet.
