I cannot understand a system taking that long to boot up. Unless you're exagerating big time you've got problems other than RAM. Get HijackThis, make a logfile and post it here. Check your startup menu and desktop first; they could be overloaded. Open Task Manager (ctrl-alt-del), see what processes are running and check them one by one. Get one of the experts here to look at your registry (hijackthis logfile). I booted up in three minutes with 128 Mg RAM (it was an old machine). 15 minutes is out of the question.
