No, it does not work on Windows 98.
Windows drivers are layered. Requests are processed by each filter in turn. Filters
are specified by the UpperFilters and LowerFilters values, which are specified for
each device calll in the registry. If a driver mentioned in one of those values is
not found, the driver chain will not be loaded. The script removes ALL filters for
cdrom drives, which means that the CDROM driver will load again, but certain applications
may not work until you reinstall them.
