Search in the Microsoft Knowledge Base for "STOP 0x00000050 vidstub.sys". It is a
known problem. I dunno, probably a conflict with my video device: STOP 0x50 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
driver VIDSTUB.SYS (has a bad checksum, by the way). I tried it and uninstalled it.
I'm prefer the /sos boot param to display all the information about what's the kernel
doing while I boot (Pending File rename operations, for example). The same for Linux
(splash=0 parameter for the kernel). I like to see what happens while my system boot,
to avoid blue surprises.
And I am not a Microsoft lover, by the way.
