Summary:
Network anti-virus scanning tools sometimes interfere a user's download of an installation
program. When the installation program is run (i.e., setup.exe), the commonplace
"Installshield" mechanism cannot validate its own integrity - hence it exits with
the cryptic "1335 data1.cab is corrupt" or something along those lines.

Detail: This can be caused by a combination of network proxy servers (frequently
found on 'sophisticated' corporate networks & 'sophisticated' public wi-fi spots)
that can redirect content to an antivirus or content scanning tool for further inspection
of viruses or malware. Vendors such as Bluecoat, Web Washer or Symantec and Microsoft
ISA among others market proxy servers/content filters as one or more solutions.
Each one of these tools may have an ICAP-compliant component which may change your
download.

Remedy: Use an MD-5 hash to verify the download installer's integrity. Alternatively,
make sure that if your download program is digitally signed that the 'Digital Signatures'
reports "the certificate is OK" in the advanced details button. Otherwise, contact
your helpdesk or someone who can make an exception or allowance for your download.
