Do you have the '98 CD and an XP upgrade CD? If so you can clean install XP using the '98 CD as qualifying media. "You will need to have a qualifying Win98/Me/2000 CD to insert if you are using an upgrade version of XP to clean install. OEM restore disks will usually not fulfill the qualifying requirement.
