First of all forget running XP with 64mb of RAM. You're looking at 10 minute boots,
and pretty much ten minutes to launch programs, 2 - 3 minutes just changing windows.
Word takes minutes to scroll through a document.
So go back to W98SE. change boot priority in the BIOS setup to boot from floppy disk.
Start with a W98SE floppy startup disk. Run fdisk, and delete all partitions. If
you made the mistake of converting to ntfs, you'll need to delete the non-DOS partition.
After partitions are deleted, create new ones, format, then re-install.
