I apologize, I lied... It worked ONCE. I restarted my computer and noticed that the
systray.exe entry I had added to my startup options was removed so I re-added it
and now, the problem continues to exist.
I added systray.exe (found in the WINDOWS directory) to my startup as stated by another
person in an above post and that option failed for me as well. I have noticed that
more icons appear after startup but not all of them appear (I'd say less than a quarter
of my taskbar icons actually appear).
This issue is driving me mad...
