Windows Networking rights problem

I will start by outlining the situation:
The Situation
I have 2 computers on a network. They can both connect through this network to the
internet. Although both have personal firewalls, I have deactivated these until the
problem can be solved, windows firewall is also off. (no net connection in case your
worried, and both have virus scanners). Both of these computers have shares on their
drives, and both have been accessed in the past by other computers. They are in a
simple domain not a work group.
The Problem
Although PC A can list, dispaly and access shares PC B, PC B cannot list or access
shares on PC A. The dialogue says "you do not have permissions to access resours...
access denied".
A default administrator user exists on both systems, with the same password on both,
and is the user that I am using to try and solve to problem, however I have tried
users with other names. I have used administrator tools on both systems and ensured
sensible things are enabled (although any sugestions of things to look for would
be welcome). One can access the other, and (as a work around) an ftp server set up
on A can be accessed by B.
It should also be noted that when I tried to log on as Terminal Services, although
a logon screen displayed, only Guest would be accepted as a user (I set the permissions,
and unset them).
Please advise?
