Hey, Yall!
I have XP Pro w/updated Anti-virus software (Norton's)and updated Spyware programs.
All has been working fine. However, the last time I booted up and tried to go online
I received an Err Msg that said windows couldn't perform task & was shutting down
which I sent to Microsoft only to receive a reply that there is no solution for my
problem. I performed a scan with Norton Sys Works....no problems found. I rebooted
w/Last good Config...no luck! Tried a Sys Restore-twice
using 2 diff dates...no luck! When I try to open any windows (My Computer, Control
Panel, any program folders) I get the same E Msg. No luck even in Safe Mode. I can
however, when in Safe Mode & using Run,
access program folders including registry. Is there anything I can do there? Also,
it may be worth mentioning that I talked to the Mrs. and she may have tried to update
SP2 onto the computer before the last shutdown.
