Just to clarify that do not press r the first time you are asked that is the recovery
console and it won't help you here.Let it it load all setup files as if you are doing
a clean install and it will get to a prompt where it detects windows installed and
then you have the option of repairing or clean install.press r at this point.I would
myself personally just slave the drive on another computer and pull all the files
off it that I needed and do a clean install as it prevents any problems in the future.
