XP INFO  XP CLEANUP

What was the original problem Tim? If you have experienced data corruption then you should re-seat the RAM modules and run MemTest86 overnight because if you are getting read/write erros all the time you'll not get anywhere. Disconnect the modem and any other peripherals whilst installing. If your IDE cables are round ones change them for 80 wire flat ones as the round cables can produce cross-talk errors. Is the installation asking for a boot disk or is it asking if you want to make one? When you started the install why were you unable to boot directly from the XP CD? Click on the first link above for more info..
