Happens whether or not you are connected to the internet?
When you first boot-up, open Task Manager and see what processes and apps are running
- anything look unfamiliar to you?
Open msconfig (Start menu --> Run, and there type: MSCONFIG) and check to see what
is checked on the Startup tabbed page for auto-start. Anything there unfamiliar
to you?
How old is the computer?
When did you last scan for vires & malware?
I assume you use a firewall when you connect to the internet?
